Dr. Yele Aluko is a proven cardiovascular physician executive and leader, with multiyear experience in cardiovascular service line strategic planning, program growth and development.
As Senior Vice President of the Novant Health Heart and Vascular Services system wide, he is responsible for an enterprise wide cardiovascular strategy including physician alignment and accountability to service line vision, and standardization of clinical, operational and business processes within all heart and vascular facilities across the Novant landscape in NC and VA.
He is Medical Director at Novant Health Heart and Vascular Institute in Charlotte, NC. His clinical expertise and interests include complex coronary interventions, transcatheter valve replacement and transcatheter closure of cardiac septal defects.
He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York City. He completed fellowships in invasive cardiology at Cornell University Medical Center and interventional cardiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
He is certified by the American Board Boards of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
He will receive an MBA from Wake Forest University in December 2014.
Dr. Ade Akande is a co-founder and current president of Charlotte Pain Associates, an independent 16 year old pain medicine practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain conditions using a variety of interventional techniques. His clinical area of expertise is in the treatment of difficult chronic pain disorders including the use of complex interventional spine procedures.
As president, he is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction, clinical standardization, operational planning, and business process for the multi office practice in North and South Carolina. and business processes for the office based surgical suites.
He completed his postgraduate residency training in internal medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where he also served as Chief Resident and Fellow in Internal Medicine, teaching and training residents. He completed additional fellowship training in Anesthesiology and Pain management at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital of the Harvard Medical School in Boston. His interventional Pain Medicine fellowship was completed at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Akande is certified by the American Boards of Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. He will receive his MBA from Wake Forest University in December 2014.
Dr. Sudarshan Upadhya is an accomplished translational scientist entrepreneur with hands-on business proficiency in commercialization of innovation as a Chief Science Officer (CSO) of a startup pharmaceutical company.
Sudarshan has 19 years of experience in life-science research. Sudarshan is a former NC Biotechnology Center industry fellow and a former Assistant Professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine with 18 peer-reviewed international review and original research papers, 22 scientific abstracts in diverse areas such as biochemistry, pharmacology, drug metabolism, neuro-toxicology, and neuroscience.
He is experienced in federal and private foundation grants as a Principal Investigator and with an extensive experience in leading project teams in a wide range of disciplines. He has training in ADME/PK, clinical data management/clinical research, and GLP’s-SOP’s via certified, accredited courses. He holds a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry from Mangalore University (India) and a Doctoral degree in Neurochemistry from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (India).
He will receive an MBA certificate from Wake Forest University School of Business in December 2014.
Brian Kay is a leading CPG Technology and Market Research Sales Executive.
Brian has held several roles, beginning with Manugistics as a Supply Chain Consultant, working with multiple Fortune 100 companies to implement best-in-class supply chain and planning processes. Brian then moved to Tyson Foods as an S&OP lead before he was promoted into a Product Management role, where he held P&L responsibility for a $100 million line of business. Moving to Retail Solutions, Inc., Brian was quickly promoted to lead the company’s fastest growing channel, and then promoted again to directly lead the company’s relationship with several strategic accounts – including the company’s largest customer. Brian is currently employed as Director of Sales at InfoScout, Inc, where he leads several key relationships, and is responsible for business development across several strategic accounts.
Based in Charlotte, NC, Brian has a BA in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University, and an expected MBA from Wake Forest University in December 2014.
