Foldable Foodware

Environmentally conscious food storage that accommodates many different food types with two different rigid forms from a single footprint.

Austin Waggoner

From being raised in a family with an active lifestyle and appreciation for nature, my passion for action sports and the outdoors was nurtured at a young age. Finding inspiration from my surroundings, I was drawn to product and performance apparel design. I now create technical products that encourage adventure; using a critical eye, I focus on the interaction between products and their surroundings. Designing for functionality, my product’s aesthetics are driven from natural form and movement. I studied Industrial Design, Apparel, and Merchandising at Appalachian State University. In an entrepreneur business competition, my Foldable Foodware concept was awarded second place. I have managed a professional and academic career between design internships with soccer and climbing companies alongside product testing for Keen Footwear and Salomon Sports, while remaining on the Dean’s and Chancellor’s list throughout my time at the university. I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and I am a NOLS alumni.
